Low-Income Weatherization All Electric Program
The low income weatherization all electric program is aimed towards homes that make less than the income amount listed next to the number of people living in the home. There are 2 ways your home can be considered all electric. If electricity is the only source of power for your home or the furnace in your home runs off electricity.
What work is performed in my home?
Sealing and weather stripping windows, doors and attic access', installing outlet/switch gaskets, sealing plumbing, light and exhaust fan penetrations, providing duct sealing and improvements, rebuilding and sealing returns are all examples of work provided at NO COST to you.
Low-Income Weatherization Gas & Electric Program
The low income weatherization gas & electric program is aimed towards homes that make less than the income amount listed next to the number of people living in the home. Your home is considered gas & electric if you have a gas running to your home and is the source of energy for your furnace. If electricity is the source of power to your furnace you are considered all electric.
What work is performed in my home?
Sealing and weather stripping windows, doors and attic access', installing outlet/switch gaskets, sealing plumbing, light and exhaust fan penetrations, providing duct sealing and improvements, rebuilding and sealing returns are all examples of work provided at a low cost to you. The Public Utility Commission of Texas adopted this program and Senate Bill 7 mandates that all investor-owned electric utility must provide incentives through standard offer programs and promote energy efficiency programs in their service area. This is a great opportunity to conserve energy and save you money.
How long does each house take?
We like to estimate that we will be working in your home for up to 6 hours. Each home is different depending on how much work the house needs.
